Project Summary

The Challenge

Paige and Zach discovered a leak in their home and faced a serious roofing problem. Their house had four layers of shingles! Despite the excessive layering and attempting a temporary repair, they weren’t confident it would hold. Roofs by Bryan arrived on-site to perform our inspection, discovering that the home had four layers of shingles, creating structural concerns and making proper leak repair nearly impossible. They needed a complete roof replacement to bring their home up to code and to ensure that their roof remained leak-free.

Our Solution

The project required a complete tear-off and replacement approach to address the multiple code violations and structural concerns. Our team stripped all four layers of existing shingles down to the roof decking, allowing for proper inspection of the underlying structure.

We then installed their new roofing system, starting with ice and water shield 6’ up from the eaves for superior waterproofing protection. The new GAF HDZ shingles in Pewter Gray were installed following manufacturer specifications and local building codes. For the low slope & flat areas of the roof, we installed a 2-Ply Mod-Bit roofing system.

The project included complete gutter replacement using 5″ residential .032 gauge seamless gutters to handle proper water drainage and prevent future moisture issues.

Our systematic approach eliminated excessive shingle layering, stopped active leaks, and provided a long-term roofing solution to give Paige and Zach the peace of mind they deserve.
